What you will be doing:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and regulatory reports and manage state reporting deadlines.
• Create and implement enhanced financial reporting procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, and provide financial performance updates on project activities. 
• Identify and implement suitable accounting software.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general accounting functions of multiple companies in Spain and multiple global offices, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets etc.
• Supporting business decision-making from a financial perspective.
• Provide strong financial support to companies in Spain and all over the world to ensure company plans achievement and business growth.
• Responsible for statutory compliance (year-end financial statement, tax returns and company books maintenance).
• Work closely with business partners to improve business performance and monitoring.
• Set up/fine-tune processes and supporting tools for the evaluation and monitoring of financial and economic aspects of projects.
• Assist with annual audits and quarterly reviews.
• Prepares indirect tax returns and reports for the market (VAT, sales tax changes, etc.).
• Reconcile bank, crypto wallets, and company card accounts.
• Assist with review of Spanish and international payroll processing.

Requirements

So, in summary, who do we need? Someone who has:

• University degree in the appropriate discipline (i.e. accounting, finance or economics), FCCA license preferred
• 5+ years experience in Finance Manager, Accounting, Audit and/or Tax according to the law of Spain
• International accounting and/or consolidation, and/or tax experience a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage tight deadlines and responsibilities effectively; ability to multitask and succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Written and verbal communication abilities in English, Spanish, and Russian will be a plus.
