Senior Engineer/Site Manager

The successful applicant with form a senior part of a team that provides IT support to a variety of different businesses on both contractual and Ad Hoc bases. The company provides comprehensive business to business IT support, that understands client needs and desires, and adapts to provide relevant, effective, efficient support in terms of reactive troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and constructive development. The applicant will be required to be technically competent, have handled responsibility at a business level, will understand how IT interacts with and provides values to a given business, and will be able to interact with clients in a friendly but professional manner.

Responsibilities:

* Reactive troubleshooting to resolve reported problems assigned to them – both remotely and on site.

* Proactive maintenance using available tools to ensure the smooth running of client environments for assigned client sites.

* Manage larger projects assigned to them, with effective use of a small team of junior techs.

* It will be essential to maintain accurate documentation for team usage and maintain accurate time and work records on jobs.

* Work with a small team of engineers to achieve these goals.

Required:

* Advanced Spanish and English (written and spoken).

* Able to troubleshoot and resolve all manner of Windows OS desktop issues.

* Able to deploy and maintain Windows Server OS.

* Experience administering Windows Active Directory or Azure AD.

* Experience with setting up and administering Hyper-V/virtual environments.

* Able to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office user issues.

* Experiencing configuring routers, including firewalls, DNS and VPNs.

* Familiarity with backups and disaster recovery.

* Basic familiarity with VLANs.

* Able to demonstrate experience and understanding of modern security concepts and implementation.

* Able to work independently and with initiative based on tasks assigned to them.

* Able to provide care and insight in terms of reactive and proactive client care and improvement.

Advantageous:

* Experience with configuring SonicWall

* Experience with VOIP/3CX.

* Experience with Azure P1 administration and Microsoft 365 security.

* Experience with investigating Windows security breaches.

* Experienced in using/deploying/troubleshooting Mac OS/iOS user environments.

* Experience deploying and maintaining structured networks.
