ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Head of Business Development in the iGaming industry, your primary responsibility is to drive the growth and expansion of the company’s business operations. Your role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and maximizing revenue generation:
Your key job responsibilities as the Head of Business Development will include:
- Define and execute the business development strategy in alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Identify target markets, evaluate potential growth areas, and devise strategies to capitalize on emerging trends in the iGaming industry.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, assess competitor activities, and stay up-to-date with industry trends. Analyse market data, customer behaviour, and market segmentation to identify key target audiences and tailor business development efforts accordingly.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. Identify potential collaboration opportunities, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth. Identify innovative ways to monetize products and services, optimize pricing models, and explore new market segments. Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and account management teams to develop effective strategies for customer acquisition and long-term retention.
- Identify opportunities for product diversification and expansion. Collaborate with the product development team to assess market demand, prioritize feature enhancements, and launch new products or services that align with customer needs and preferences.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Attend industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to expand the company’s reach and influence. Represent the company as a thought leader in the iGaming industry.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the business development team. Set clear goals and objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, encouraging innovation and professional development.
- Stay updated with the evolving regulatory landscape in the iGaming industry. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and present regular reports on key performance indicators, business development activities, and market trends. Utilise data analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of business development strategies and initiatives.

Requirements for this Head of Business Development job:
- Previous experience as a senior sales or commercial manager within the iGaming industry with proven competence in negotiations and strategic approach.
- Experience generating key sales leads with a proven track record in growing an existing business portfolio by converting incoming enquiries and achieving and exceeding established sales targets.
- Experience in upselling and cross-selling to clients to maximize profit.
- A proven record of developing strong working relationships with executives, peers and associates.
- Proven experience (2+ years) of managing a sales team of 3 or more people.
- Good levels of experience in managing B2B clients and in working to contractually agreed commercial terms.
- The ability and knowledge needed to focus on different regions as required.
- Experience working with project management tools such as JIRA and Monday.com is desirable.
