Our Client is now searching for a Business Analyst in Gibraltar. The role is to provide highly professional business, technical and operational analysis and project management in support of the activities of the Bank. You will form part of the team directly supporting the Core Banking Platform and associated systems (including MI/BI and general data reporting), and overseeing the Bank’s outsourced IT infrastructure.
Main responsibilities:
• Providing project management expertise in the delivery of change, including new products, services, regulatory change and business process enhancements and initiatives, specifically:
◦ Full lifecycle management from inception to closure, including requirements gathering, scope, documentation, planning, designing, testing and implementing agreed change activities. o Helping to apply best project methodologies as appropriate for any given project.
◦ Creating and maintaining project/change RAID logs and documentation as required.
• Supporting the implementation of managed change control processes and culture across the business.
• Assisting in the day-to-day management of the Bank’s core banking systems and vendor relationships, maintaining a good working rapport with the Bank’s chosen/preferred partners, monitoring vendor performance and SLAs, and acting as an internal knowledge and liaison point in relation to systems and vendors.
• Assisting the Head of Technology in the development and on-going maintenance of the Bank’s logical data model.
• Process mapping and reverse engineering the logical working of systems and procedures when required including the design of process changes and making recommendations as appropriate
• Deputising for the Head of Technology and Information in relevant areas as required.
• Production of comprehensive internal and external reporting as required.
• Staying up to-date with relevant compliance and technical issues, especially as they impact banking systems.

• General keenness to learn details (a knowledge sponge).
• Financial Services background and operations experience desirable, including awareness of control and security principles, e.g. four-eyes, separation of duties, etc.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles and obligations, potentially including conducting DPIAs desirable.
• General office suite application abilities to a good level, with any advanced data handling in Excel and/or SQL desirable.
• Any knowledge of cloud applications, including Sharepoint, Atlassian Jira, etc. desirable.
• Appreciation of the value and importance of MI/BI, with any knowledge/experience a plus.
• Any experience with cloud services Azure/AWS a plus.
• Level of knowledge of IT infrastructure considerations for a business, including user management. Experience working with outsourced/ SaaS delivery partners a plus.
• Any knowledge of web content management systems, and/or technical abilities to manipulate images, vectors or work with desktop publishing systems, social media management and monitoring systems, and online advertising welcome.
Education:
• Bachelor degree in relevant / applicable subject OR demonstrable experience of 3 years + in similar / equivalent roles.
• Prince 2 or other relevant project management certificate desirable.
